Couples Therapy

Relationships can be amazing.  AND they can be hard work.  Are you and your partner struggling?  Arguing often?  Needing a tune up?  Lacking romance?  Unable to compromise?  Or maybe even thinking of ending your relationship?  Couples therapy is an investment in your love life that can help you bridge the gap between where you are as a couple and where you want to be.
When working with couples, I use the Gottman Method.  Learn more about this therapy below.

Gottman Method

The Gottman Method is an approach to couples therapy that includes a thorough assessment of the couple’s relationship and integrates research-based interventions based on the Sound Relationship House Theory.  The goals of Gottman Method Couples Therapy are to:
  • disarm conflict;
  • increase intimacy, respect, friendship, and affection;
  • remove barriers that create a feeling of stagnancy; and
  • create a heightened sense of empathy and understanding.
This method is backed by decades of research with hundreds of couples and has been shown to be a highly effective intervention time and again.
